Hi all, I'll be keeping one eye on this one, one eye on each of the games from the crucible and an ear or three on the Wolves game at Stoke. And they say we can't multi-task eh? Back to 8's question, well it was before Olsen's long standing track record of 62.0, so around 64 seconds sounds about right. Who held the record before Ole?

Not quite that quick. That may have broken the track record! It was 64.8. Early in 71, 64 seconds was broken. 63.8 and then 63.4 were the next records. Mauger the first, Olsen the second. Thus it stayed until mid 72 when in heat 20 of a Midland Riders championship qualifying round (great meetings ) Ole took it down to 62 seconds. Where it stayed for a very long time.

I'm listening to Beacon Radio online for their coverage of the Wolves game. They are as professional as ever... they just broadcast an advert for the Scott May Stunt Show at Monmore Green tomorrow night, "Come and see the amazing Human Cannonball" Poor bloke killed himself yesterday after the safety net failed and the show is (of course) cancelled. Oh dear...

I think he equalled it himself later didn't he? I certainly remember a young Steve Bastable riding for the spoons also doing 62 in about 1978 or 1979. A mate of my Dad's reckoned later that he'd actually beaten the time but they wouldn't give it to him!

5-1 to start with! Keep 'em coming!
Almost followed by another! Tyson loses second on the last turn.
9-3. Looks like Ricky Wells has turned a corner. (No joke intended)
Now 11-7, Lud second with ty last as R/R.

I'm listening to Beacon Radio online for their coverage of the Wolves game. Damn territorial restrictions! This is getting to be a royal pain in the a*se; the sooner it's sorted out (in my favour) the better!

Yes the commentary is blocked on Beacon and WM now the game has started. Bloody stupid. Not sure if Radio 5 have the rights though surely they'll be showing the Champions League? I've found a live stream of the Wolves game instead.
Great start, promising stuff from the two reserves.

14-10. PK and wells behind Schlein.
Radio 5 do have the rights. You can hear live commentary either on 5Live extra (DAB) or online.
If you're in the UK.

4-2 in 5. Freddie beats Bomber and Lud comes third. 18-12 Oh, and Stoke have scored. Another 4-2. 22-14 3-3. Now 25-17. Stachyra seems to be some way off the pace according to a disgruntled Belle Vue spectator.

Yes, looks good so far. Presumably PK will get the next RR ride otherwise he's in 13, 14 and 15.
The other Wolves not looking so good, could be well behind but only 0-1. Need a draw here I feel.
Judd Trump. Great name.

Good 5-1 from PK and Lud against Schlein. 32-22
4-4 in 10. Hougaard second on a TR.
And PK shows Bomber the way in 11.
39-29.
And Stoke have scored again.
