So it is confirmed now that Ty will not ride again this season. Don't think we have any option but to sign a replacement because R/R puts too much pressure on the two reserves. So what are our options?
Its also clear that Tai is still struggling with his collar bone and you sense he is one accident away from being out for a long period. Lets hope he is able to keep safe even if at the moment it means he is not able to take too many risks when not gating

Not surprised by this as Plymouth signed Seb Alden as a replacement earlier in the week. We should be able to gauge the management's ambition by the action they take. Let's hope they go for it.

Peter Ljung would be my choice if available.
Seen him ride with Tai a couple of times this year in Poland and has looked pretty good.
Speedy recovery Ty, been brilliant this season. By his own admittance struggled for a couple of years but nailed on for a place next year.

No suprise Ty has had to admit defeat to injury this season as nerve damage can be a very long term thing and sadly this looks to be the case for Ty. Basically he has now had to choose having the operation which basically means they will have to take out discs / vertabrae from his back, fuse them together and then refit them.
This is said to take roughly 6 months to recover from and I think he is looking at having the operation in August ?
If he can return next year fully fit and carrying on this years form, he should be a bargain at just 5.78 as he was averaging 6.92 this year (8.76 with bonus points)

After tonight at the World Cup at Kings Lynn I agree with trying to get Peter Ljung he challenged in every race and as a number 2 / 3 I think he would do a fantastic job plus just another Swede to add to the asset book but 100% Ljung for me!

He is a Lakeside asset already having previously been owned by Eastbourne and Swindon. When you consider that he is virtually on the same average as Nermark and Andersson, he was by far the best on show for Sweden and ended up with 11 of their 18 points which could have been more had they used him as a tactical joker earlier on. If Ljung or Michelsen can't be tempted to sign for the remaining few months then we may be btter off carrying on with R/R and giving extra rides to Adam, Ricky, Ludvig and Jacob.

Oh yeah of course he is!!! Forgot he'd rode with lakeside!! He defo stood out for me!! Think we got to take a serious look at him if we want to contest for play offs!! R/R for me isn't strong away from home n sometimes at home for example when Tungate beat Wells in heat 8 last Monday!! Yeah we still got 3 points but races like that showing we do need to replace Ty or have wells at 2 to help him score n build confidence again

[/b] You seem to forget what Peter Adams has been quoted as saying: "by the time we ride Swindon either Ty Proctor will be riding or a new rider"

You seem to forget what Peter Adams has been quoted as saying: "by the time we ride Swindon either Ty Proctor will be riding or a new rider" Maybe that road turned into a Cul de Sac and they had to turn around to seek a road that heads in the right direction. Seriously think Nermark is the most likely but think even he will admit he isn't race fit at present to ride so many meetings each week in various countries.

Regarding Nermark not the worst choice out there but not the best either, Really think if we wanna push towards these Playoffs got to look at Peter Ljung he seems the best available, Nermark still our asset or did we sell him on?

Sold him !
Now a Kings Lynn asset but we sold him to Workington I think for a decent figure.

Looks like we got out of jail tonight. I await news of the rider to take Ty's place.

We did get our of jail against Swindon and until the last race it was lower than usual scores from the heat leaders that held us back rather than the absence of proctor. Still think the r/r is putting too much pressure in the lower end of the team though and this will cost us eventually. And when is Ricky going to sort his gating out? This was a strength for him last season but this year he just cannot trap.
